Major achievements of the ICT Department in recent years (3 years):
A) The main objective of Digital Bangladesh Construction (RS-2021) announced by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh is to provide ICT advice to the officials and employees of various offices to make Bangladesh as a middle-income country based on knowledge and information technology by 2021.
B) Ensure, coordinate, extend and implement network connectivity at all district, upazila and union level to create digital Bangladesh.
C) At the district and upazila level, six district offices and 3 upazila offices of the directorate have been established.
D) A total of 20 Sheikh Russell Digital Labs and Language Training Centers have been set up in Meherpur district in three financial years (1 in 20-6, 5-7 in FY 6, 6-7 in FY).
E) Training of e-governance, e-files, national web portals and mobile courts has been provided to the government offices and employees in establishing e-governance aimed at MDGs and SDGs.
F) To expedite the activities of e-Hajj affairs in the Ministry of Religious Affairs, pre-registration and registration activities have been undertaken for Hajis who wish to attend Hajj.
(G) Assistance has been given to operate the video conference system of the district administration and the upazila administration with various ministries, departments and departments.
